Questions?

We have compiled a FAQ for both attendees and presenters, please read below!

Presenter FAQ

1. Should I bring my computer?
No, you do not have to bring your computer. Computers with internet access will be provided in each classroom, along with guest login information. We recommend emailing your presentation to yourself or bringing a jump drive with the file.

2. Are we able to access the internet?
Yes! Free wireless access is available to all Washington University visitors via the wustl-guest-2.0 network. WashU also participates in the eduroam network, which is
a secure worldwide federated network access service developed for the international research and education community. Instructions for accessing WashU's wifi options is available here.

3. Should I print slides or handouts?
We strongly encourage you to also print out your slides and any other materials you may have for participants for accessibility purposes. Based on our conference registration and number of concurrent sessions, we encourage you to print at least 25 copies. We recommend printing 2 slides to a page to avoid tiny print. Unfortunately, Macro United is unable to print materials on site.

4. I'm presenting a paper presentation in a session with another presenter. What will the format be for this combined session?
Paper presentation sessions will include two presenters in a one-hour session block. Each presenter will have 30 minutes to present. Sessions will not have a discussant, but we recommend each presenter speak for 20 minutes, followed by 10 minutes of Q&A. Presenters may decide who goes first.

5. Are round tables "round"?
While we are uncertain of the tables available for roundtables and other presentations generally, you are more than welcome to move things within the room around to fit your presentation.

6. What size should my poster be?
Posters should be no more than 36 inches (wide) by 48 inches (tall). Poster guidelines are now available on our website here.

7. Can Macro United print my poster?
Macro United currently does not cover poster printing fees. Options are available locally  to have your poster printed when you arrive in St. Louis. View a map of poster printing options here.

8. When can I set up and take down my poster?
Poster easels will be available beginning at 8 AM Thursday, May 29th for presenters to set up their posters. We kindly ask that poster presenters leave their poster up for the duration of the poster session (2:15 - 3:15 PM). Please remove posters by 6:30 PM Thursday evening. Posters left up will removed at the end of the day.
